David A. King, Q.C. (Partner)

Graduated from MUN (B. Sc. and B.Ed.) and Dalhousie (LL.B) and has been in practice since 1981. He was appointed Queen’s Council in 2003. Currently, his primary areas of practice are commercial, corporate, personal injury, real estate and estates. He has extensive experience as both a barrister and a solicitor, having conducted trials and appeals at all levels of court in the Province. David was involved in the first Supreme Court Jury Trial in the history of the Province presided over by a female Justice (Madame Justice Margaret Cameron) and he was also involved in the first personal injury trial conducted before a civil jury in Western Newfoundland and Labrador. David currently acts primarily as a solicitor for many private corporations, businesses and individuals inWestern Newfoundland and Labrador but when things go wrong, as they sometimes do, he has the experience to act as their barrister as well. In his leisure time David enjoys golfing, hiking and playing bridge.
